We would have reversed back but there was no way to turn around and we had a very slippy, pretty darn scary moment next to an edge with a nasty drop just back from this exit.

First day plans are the Shard, London eye.

Any recommendations for the second day? Unique, interesting? We've done the museums last year and I've done the slide at the Olympic park...

Some people asked about my current dusters modifications, apart from an under seat subwoofer and all terrain tyres, I upgraded the factory fit sump guard because it provides extra protection to the front as I had already started getting a bit of cracking in the plastic and I had done previous damage in that area on my old duster.

It's an N4 off road sump and it came from @4x4.works

Not overly impressed that my exhaust is not under warranty, my 2015 Duster's exhaust was brutalised and it's still attached! This exhaust looks near brave new! 🤬

Fyi before it completely broke off I could smell exhaust fumes every time I opened the door. The mud on it is from before I realised it was hanging on.

It's £360 something to replace, I told them I'd wait until service which is due in the new year I think.

Today I finished work at Nuneaton bus station and needed to catch a bus back to my depot in #barwell, however due to some really bad roadworks and temporary lights the buses were extremely delayed. I have a choice of 2 different buses to use however looking on the bustimes.org tracking map none were in the area and two were just outside of town heading away from me.

I checked again five minutes later and the two buses hadn't seemed to move much.

I decided I want to go home now rather than later, so being known for doing 'off the wall' things I anticipated they were stuck in traffic so I decided to run... The best way a morbidly obese man can ruin🤣

Would I make it? If I didn't catch them up I'd just have to wait for the next bus.

As I get out of the town I can see the traffic jam, so I keep trying to look at cars and knowing that I needed to be moving faster than them so at one point the cars suddenly all moved forward at pace and I thought all hope was lost... I kept going and couldn't see much movement on the tracker for the buses.

I was running out of steam! I was approaching a corner once around it the road is straight, so as I rounded it I'd knew I'd be able to see the bus and so as I did it was a relief to see the bus in sight and within easy reach I just hoped that they would get held up by other traffic lights!

I approached, sweating, looking a minor wreck to find my colleague was training a new driver, I shouted her name and she's looking round to find out who's calling her only to then spot me outside looking disheveled 🤣 I hade made it.

1.7 miles of effort to get home that little bit quicker and get home to the wife's good food before she refused to cook!

An event I'll never forget and one to add to my life story.
